With over seven years of dedicated teaching and personal practice, Joanne brings depth, compassion, and authenticity to every class she leads. Once a corporate professional, she made a conscious shift to pursue yoga full-time after experiencing its transformative impact on her own health and well-being. Today, she shares its holistic benefits with students of all ages and backgrounds, guiding them toward greater balance, strength, and self-awareness.
Joanne completed her 200-hour teacher training at the internationally respected S- VYASA (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana) in India and is also a certified H.E.M. meditation trainer, qualified singing bowl practitioner, and NREP-certified trainer. Her teaching is rooted in the classical yogic tradition, with an emphasis on breath awareness, mindfulness, and therapeutic movement. Drawing influence from the Iyengar Yoga method, Joanne focuses on alignment, precision, and postural awareness, helping students build stability, strength, and body intelligence.
Her classes are inclusive and accessible, blending breath-led movement, mindful transitions, and safe progressions that allow each student to work at their own pace. She has taught in diverse environments—from yoga studios and international schools to community centers and corporate wellness programs. Her corporate clients include organizations such as Visa, YWCA, and United World College, where she adapts her sessions to meet the unique needs of working professionals, children, teens, and seniors alike.
A passionate lifelong learner, Joanne continues to expand her skills through international retreats, advanced training, and immersive workshops. These experiences bring fresh perspectives to her teaching while keeping her grounded in timeless yogic wisdom.
Joanne believes yoga is for everybody—regardless of age, flexibility, or experience. Her mission is to make the practice approachable, empowering, and deeply nourishing, helping each student find a sense of connection, resilience, and inner stillness. When she’s not teaching, Joanne enjoys traveling the world, weaving yoga into her journeys through retreats and cultural explorations that inspire both her practice and her life.
